In 2023, Prof. Justin Yifu Lin, Dean of INSE, served as the chief expert in Ministry of Education's (MOE) 101 Plan for Economics, with  INSE undertaking Secretariat work of the initiative. Upholding the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches on building China's independent knowledge system, the mandates of the 20th CPC National Congress, and the principles of "Correctness of Dao, Excellence in skills, Mastery of knowledge, Finding from facts, Ability to accomplish", INSE focused on advancing the primary task of building China's independent knowledge system. This effort encompassed four core tasks: developing a set of first-class core courses, a range of first-class core textbooks, a series of first-class practice programs and a strong teacher workforce. This has laid a solid foundation for enhancing the components of basic academic disciplines and improving higher quality of talent cultivation.
