On June 11 the Center of New Structural Economics Research at Central University of Finance and Economics was officially established, and the North China New Structural Economics Research Alliance meeting was successfully convened.
On June 16 a series of activities on talent cultivation and discipline development by the Central China New Structural Economics Research Alliance were successfully held.
On June 28 the INSE's 2024 graduation ceremony was successfully concluded.
In September Associate Professor Wang Xin was awarded the 2024 Peking University Teaching Excellence Award.
On September 9 the INSE's 2024 welcome ceremony for new students was successfully held.
On October 15 the New Structural Life Economy - Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Seminar was successfully concluded.
On October 19-20 the symposium commemorating the 30th anniversary of "China's Miracle" publication and the seminar on building China's independent economics knowledge system were held at Shanghai University.
On November 7 the Economics "101 Plan" research and promotion meeting was held at Peking University.
On November 22 INSE was awarded the inaugural "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Prize.
In December " Demystifying the World Economic Development" (English edition) was selected for the 2024 "Classic China International Publishing Project."
On December 21-22 the 4th New Structural Economics Ph.D. Workshop was successfully held.
On December 24 the symposium on "Aging with Chinese Characteristics" was held at INSE.
On December 28 the New Structural Silk Road Development Research Center at Northwest University was established, and the West China New Structural Economics Research Alliance working meeting was successfully held.
In December "New Structural Economics" was selected as one of China's Top Ten Original Theories in Philosophy and Social Sciences.


In April the course "New Structural Economics" awarded as the National First-class Undergraduate Course.
On April 24 the Center of New Structural Economics at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies was established.
On April 26 the Center of New Structural Economics at Liaoning University was established.
On May 14 the NSE Parallel Session of the 22th China Economics Annual Conference was held.
On July 2-4 the 2023 Summer School on New Structural Economics was held.
In July the first class of undergraduate and doctoral students of the INSE graduated, and the INSE held the First Graduation Celebration on July 6-7.
In August A total of 4 programs of the INSE were approved and granted by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, including 1 program of Excellent Young Scientists Fund and 3 General Programs.
On October 12 the report "A Study on the Effectiveness of China's Sovereign Financing in Africa" released at the NSE International Development Forum.
On October 15 the Center of New Structural Economics at Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics was established.
On November 27 the Institute of New Structural Industrial Development at Shandong Normal University was set up.
In December Justin Yifu Lin was awarded the IEA Schumpeter-Haberler Distinguished Fellowship Award 2024.
In December the program "Research on the Development of Strategic Emerging Industry Integration Clusters" presided by Yong Wang, was approved as a major research program of philosophy and social sciences of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in 2023.
On December 3 the NSE Parallel Session of the 23th China Economics Annual Conference was held.
On December 9 the First Board Meeting and Executive Board Meeting of the NSE Research Alliance was successfully held.
On December 15 the research report on Foshan's Path of High-quality Development of Manufacturing Industry officially released.
On December 18-19 The Tenth International Annual Workshop on New Structural Economics (NSE) was successfully held.
On December 19 INSE held its Sixth Academic Advisory Council Meeting.
On December 22-23 the 3rd NSE Ph.D. Students' Workshop was successfully held both online and offline.


On June 12 the 2022 Guiyang Forum on New Structural Economics was successfully held online and offline under the theme of "Digital Economy, Platform Economy and Industrial Structure Upgrading".
On July 27 the 9th Summer School on New Structural Economics was held.
In July Professor Justin Yifu Lin won the Outstanding Contribution Prize of the first PKU Tongxin Award for Political Participation for Development.
On August 2 the 9th International Annual Workshop on New Structural Economics (NSE) was successfully held online.
On August 3 the 5th International Academic Advisory Council Meeting was successfully held.
In September the Institute recruited 10 doctoral freshmen to the school, and held a meeting for the 2022 freshmen on September 2.
On September 30 the opening ceremony of the 3rd Experimental Class of New Structural Economics was held, and 6 undergraduates were admitted.
On October 29 a development planning meeting for the NSE Virtual Teaching and Research Section, a second-batch pilot project of the Ministry of Education (MOE), was successfully held.
On November 14-16 INSE hosted the 4th annual conference of the Global Research Consortium on Economic Structural Transformation (GReCEST).
On December 23 the 2nd Doctoral Workshop on New Structural Economics was successfully held.

On May 9 the Center of New Structural Economics at Nankai University was established.
On May 22-23 the International Conference on Recent Development in New Structural Economics and Finance was successfully held.
On May 30 the Institute of New Structural Economics at Zhengzhou University was inaugurated.
On June 6 the Institute of New Structural Economics at Nanchang University was set up.
On June 18 the New Structural Economics Development Financing Reports were launched and the symposium on development finance was held in Beijing.
On June 28-30 the 3rd China International Conference in Macroeconomics (CICM) was held.
