Historical Note

On May 25, the NSE Research Consortium was established.

On May 25-26, the First NSE Academic Symposium was held in Wuhan.

From May 25 to 26, the First NSE Academic Symposium and the inauguration ceremony of Peking University - Zhongnan University of Economics and Law Center for New Structural Economics were held.

On May 27, the Center for New Structural Economics at Wuhan University was unveiled and the 2019 Luojia Forum on New Structural Economics was held.

On May 28, an international seminar themed “Realizing the Full Potential of NDBs: Supporting the SDGs and Structural Transformation” was held.

On June 28, the Center for New Structural Economics at Lanzhou University was unveiled.

From July 5 to 8, the Sixth Summer School on New Structural Economics was held.

In August, the first NSE textbook, Introduction to New Structural Economics, was published, marking a milestone for NSE theory development.

From August 9 to 11, the Sixth International Conference on NSE themed “Economic Development and Development Economics: Experience in the Past 70 Years” was held.

From August 12 to 14, INSE co-held the first NSE faculty training workshop with the Higher Education Press.

In September, six doctoral students were enrolled.

On September 18, the Center for New Structural Economics at Xi’an Jiaotong University was unveiled.

On September 22, the Seventh Workshop of the Young Economist Society (YES) was held.

In October, together with National School of Development at Peking University, INSE started the 2020 “application-and-examination” doctoral admission.

On November 3, the Center for New Structural Economics at Guangzhou University was unveiled and a seminar themed “70 Years: Long-term Economic Growth” was held.

From November 7 to 8, , the 2019 annual meeting of the Global Research Consortium on Economic Structural Transformation (GReCEST) was held.

On November 10, the Center for New Structural Economics at Nanjing Audit University was unveiled.

On December 14, INSE held the academic seminar themed “Research on Growth Paths and External Risks of Great Powers” with the editorial department of Social Sciences in China.

From December 15 to 18, the Fifth Symposium (Winter Camp) on New Structural Economics was held.

On December 25, the Center for New Structural Economics at Shanghai University was unveiled.
