【About GReCEST】

Initiated by the Center for New Structural Economics (CNSE) at Peking University with support from the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET), the Global Research Consortium on Economic Structural Transformation (GReCEST) aspires to foster intellectual partnerships and promote original thinking and innovative practice in an effort to help developing countries to achieve economic structural transformation.

The GReCEST serves as one of the priority areas under the umbrella of the ‘Global Coalition of Southern Think Tank Networks,’ co-convened by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC). The GReCEST has 35 members from all over the world. The Secretariat is housed at the CNSE at Peking University.

The GReCEST Inaugural Conference, held on 13-14 December 2016 in Beijing, was a great success. The GReCEST 2017 Conference is now taking place on 13-14 December 2017 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
